I wanna play too!

Sometimes my basset hound, Abby plays "Fort" with the couch. Usually it is started by a dog-fit and rampaging around with lots of pouncing and barking. When the barking gets too loud I instruct her gently to use her "inside voice!" When the command processes in her brain she stuffs her snout in the couch cushions and barks. This makes me and my husband laugh out loud.

Last week after getting a bath, Abby decided to not just build a Fort, she decided the locals needed to be razed by the natives and she ran amok through the newly constructed Fort pouncing and barking. When I instructed her gently to use her inside voice she jumped on the bare couch, spun a 720 (that's 2 360's), looked me in the eyes and BARKED! Then she settled down to glare at the Fort and it's decimated population with a grumpy sigh.

This leads me to wonder how many calories Abby burned building and storming a fort and observing the carnage. Enough to make up for the Campfire Shake I had with my onion rings and cheeseburger? Or does it only off-set the Cherry Coke in my Diet Coke? Cause I wanna play too.

Phew!

I already messed it up. But I knew that if I didn't eat soon I would feel sick so I ate a PayDay. Peanuts are healthy, right? And I am sweating at work, so that's healthy. And gross. Gross is a measurement of weight and that's kinda what this blog is about so . . .

I think what really messed me up was the leftover half of a personal pizza. Too much crust. Always go thin crust, less carbs.

Maybe it was the Cherry Coke in my Diet Coke. That's just straight sugar to my thighs. But the soda at work sometimes tastes wonky and an additional flavor helps kill the wonkiness.

It certainly wasn't the Crunch bar I had for dessert (or the two cupcakes I had earlier in the day-I mean the word "Hostess" is friendly and inviting therefore MUST be good for one). It had Rice Krispies in it and they are only air and air is good for you and so is the rice and I am sure extra calories were burnt by chewing the krispys.

Phew! Now that I mention it, I think I am doing great today at Losing It!

Bada-Bing, Bada-Boom!

So Lauren and I were texting one day about nutrition, and junk like that, and we both were in a mood to think that we should be more healthy (as women, this happens a lot) and the next day at work we decided we should start a blog about it.

So, bada-bing, bada-boom, here it is!

These are the rules that I will be holding myself to:

1) Blog at least twice a week,

2) All blogs must be related to being healthy, and

3) By no means will I be held accountable for anyone taking my advice and meeting a bad end-afterall D I and E are the first three letters in the D-word.

I also will not post my weight or size. Neither are relevant to me, seeing as I live in denial of both.

Oh! Add a disclaimer on recipes-they may or may not be healthy, or delicious, but they will always be one or the other, that is a promise!
